Breaking Photos: IPOB Protesters Storm Westminster As Buhari Meets The Queen

A very large number of IPOB protesters are currently demonstrating at the Pall Mall Street, Westminster, about 650 metres from Buckingham Palace as President Muhammadu Buhari meet British Prime minister Theresa May, Queen Elizabeth II, and other heads of state.

The protesters are, among other things, requesting the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who went missing after the Nigerian Army attacked his residence in Afaraukwu, Umuahia Abia State and also a call for Biafra secession through a peaceful Referendum that should be conducted in Nigeria.

IPOB protesters also accused President Muhammadu Buhari of the massacre of their members during the operation python dance II exercise that was held in the South region where thousands of youths were killed by the Nigerian Army.

As the protest is ongoing, the president and other heads of states are currently being received by May, the British PM and Patricia Scotland, the secretary-general of the Commonwealth, at the official opening of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2018).
