Cristiano Ronaldo- Passion, Determination, Hard-work, and focus

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro (born 5 February 1985), known as Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7), is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Spanish club Real Madrid and the Portugal national team. He has won FIFA Ballon d'Or (World best player of the year) three times and he also won numerous awards. He has broken football records and has set new records for himself. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more than 500 senior career goals for club and country. I took my time to write about cristiano, because he's a great example of someone who determined to create a better future and life for himself, even though he came from a poor background and the odds were against him, he was determined. Been a great fan of Ronaldo, i have learnt a lot from him and have also came to realize that in life, it takes passion, determination, hard-work, and focus to be successful.

Most people believe in talent alone, but there is how far talent can take you, talent is never enough. You need to keeping work hard and practicing a lot to nourish your talent and make it a reality. Been gifted and talented helps a lot, because it makes you discover your passion and your passion also makes your goal easier for you to achieve. That been said, success is not yet guaranteed even when you have the talent and passion. I remember when Cristiano was signed from Sporting CP to Manchester United for £12.24 million; he was very young, talented and passionate. Ronaldo became Manchester United's first-ever Portuguese player when he signed for £12.24 million, a record fee for a player of his age (18yrs). When he arrived Manchester United, he arrived as a very talented and gifted kid, full of promise. "After we played Sporting last week [in a pre-season friendly] the lads in the dressing room talked about him constantly, and on the plane back from the game they urged me to sign him – that's how highly they rated him," Alex Ferguson (Manchester United manager) said at the time.

There were also other young Talented players signed to Manchester United the same year they signed Cristiano, but at the end of his career at Manchester United those other talented and promising players who arrived at the same time he did couldn't reach the same heights as Cristiano  achieved when he left the club. And why is that? I remember reading the comments made by Rio Ferdinand, who played together with Cristiano Ronaldo when he was at Manchester United, Ferdinand hailed the transformation of Cristiano Ronaldo since he joined Manchester United in 2003-

"From the moment we set eyes on him in Sporting Lisbon when we played against them in a friendly, we all came off saying, 'wow, we need to get this player, he's a fantastic player' "He had the potential to go on and be a world class player but I didn't believe he would go on and be this machine in terms of goals. "He scores a goal at a rate that has never been seen before and you would never have been able to predict that at all. He reveals that Cristiano Ronaldo was so embarrassed about his wayward shooting during his early days at United he would practice after training on a pitch out of view of the rest of the players. He said: 'He didn't have a great shot when he came. He had a powerful shot but it went everywhere. He used to go out after training, he was embarrassed.
'He used to have a bag of balls and went to a pitch right over the other side so he could hide behind the trees.
'I was like "Ronnie, where you going man?"
"I'm just going over there."
"What's wrong with you?"
'But after a few months it was "oh he does shooting, does step-overs. He used to put weights on his feet and do these step-overs.
[We said] "Are you mad, what are you doing?" Until he started bamboozling people.
'You get to the stage where he's flying with Man United but it ain't enough. He wants to be the best. He ain't getting the ball and doing all these mad tricks all the time, he wants efficiency, he wants goals, assists, that's all he cared about.
'It's about bettering yourself.

I guessed this just summons the whole thing up. You can’t be successful with just having talents and passion alone, you need to continually practice, be determined, Work-hard and stay focus that way you will not just be successful but stay successful.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the world's most expensive player when he moved from Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2009 in a transfer worth £80 million (€94 million/$132 million). His buyout clause is valued at €1 billion. He is also a Philanthropist, helping countless children with cancer, raising funds for charity etc. Ronaldo is known as a fashion icon, and is a lucrative spokesperson sought after by clothing designers, health and fitness specialists, fashion magazines, perfume and cosmetics manufacturers, hair stylists, exercise promoters, and spa and recreation companies.

And since then he has gone to become one of the best player, if not the best in the world and also rated by some expects in the sport as the greatest of all time.
